Lorry Permit C

Current policy

On the basis of current permit C, this permit is open to all individuals, Partnership Company, Sdn. Bhd. Company, Bhd. Company, Statutory Bodies and Cooperatives. Load capacity of the trucks should exceed 5 tons and above.

Permit A is different in foreign equity ownership, permit C allows 100% foreign equity ownership to apply for this permit.

Areas of Operation

For permit C, operational controls are a bit limited compared to Permit A. Operator for permit C is only allowed to operate in seven states nearby.

Vehicle sector, the chemicals and combustibles, oxygen gas and petroleum sector, building materials sector and the medical sector, furniture and machinery are excluded to operate in those 7 states nearby.

Characteristics of the applicant’s eligibility for Permit C

Individuals and Partnerships need to be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and has a GDL license that is still valid.

Accumulated capital must also be equal to the value of 30% of the price of vehicles to be purchased. For this feasibility of permit C, the applicant can only apply for a maximum of two sets of license whether two sets of rigid vehicle license or 2 set for the trailer, or 1 set for rigid vehicles and trailers only. Finally, applicant must submit invoices to apply for permit C.

Applicants for this category can register at the Companies Commission of Malaysia or the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM) and has a paid up capital of RM250, 000 and above. Additionally, they have to have accumulated capital equivalent to 30% of the price of the vehicle to be purchased. The applicant must also submit the same invoice as individual companies and partnerships.
