Lorry Permit A

For the current policy for permit A, it is open to all individuals, Partnership Company, the Company Sdn. Bhd and Cooperatives.

For foreign asset ownership, indigenous people should have equity in the company of at least 30% to get this permit and only courier services are allowed 100% foreign equity ownership.

For permit A, control operation is permitted throughout peninsular Malaysia.

Marker A in the transport vehicle body is a sign of recognition for this permit, and this mark is mandatory displayed on the vehicle body. The ratio of vehicles to be 1: 1 for the transport vehicle has two types of rigid vehicles and trailers.

To obtain this permit, the individual or company shares must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM). Individuals and partnership companies also need to have Goods Driving Licence (GDL), which still has a valid period. Accumulated capital must be at least 30% of the price of the vehicle to be purchased. Applicants also need to have a contract of carriage and service requirements and is 100% owned by Malaysians.

For Pte. Ltd. Company (Sdn. Bhd.), Ltd. Company (Bhd.) and Cooperatives, applicants must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM). The company is also required to have a paid-up capital of not less than RM500, 000. Accumulated capital must also be equal to the value of 30% of the price of the vehicle to be purchased, possess and transport contact service requirements similar to the eligibility requirements of individuals and companies sharing.
